![]() ![]() This was just after we had the front sensor replaced at the dealership. We had been stopped at a light when the Ford Escape in front started moving ahead and I followed. "warning in the info system about a failure of the right hand side monitor not working. ![]() If the customer was important the ok for controller change would have happened in 1 or 2 days & part available in 1 week!" Whole process was a big delay & inconvenient losing our car in service. Okay from Ford took several days after programming failures to replace control module. For them to continue Ford had to give instructions. "Dealer tried reprogramming system 3 times over several days. "It is some wind but the road noise is almost unbearable, I cannot carry on a conversation because of the road noise, it sounds like a jet engine inside the car!" "At cruising speed there is a loud flapping noise that no one has been able to identify." "Noise serious so that it is almost impossible to listen to radioactive highway speed." Not sure dealer tried very hard if at all." ![]() "Wind noises under the drivers side, sounds like something loose. "Rattling sound was determined to be caused by screw coming loose in the under carriage and had to be replaced" It is not in the pocket at the bottom of the door it is inside the panel. "There is an occasional rattle in the lower part of the driver's door. (2018 Ford Escape Titanium 1.5-L 4 Cyl turbo) "squeak in the rear suspension, tried once to have the dealer experience and resolve but was unsuccessful in resolving the problem. "The vehicle has a moon roof and it was not installed properly causing the leak." "Air leaks around the doors & windows, adds to the jet engine sound effects" "A consistent air leak in the rear, passenger tire" "the water leak was caused by the moon roof not being sealed properly" They said it was something to do with the ECU and had to reprogram it which fixed the problem." "The vehicle wouldn't respond to the key and it wasn't the battery or the starter. Dealer ended up replacing the whole unit under warrantee problem has NOT recurred since." "Began happening after about 4 months: Radio, in fact whole sound system (including satellite and iphone connection) would go silent, then return spontaneously after a few minutes to a half hour). Problem occurred again after about 3 weeks. Took it back to dealer and they fixed with reboot. "Screen would freeze and not allow any input. "Vehicle icon does not stay on track often causing misinformation on upcoming turns or moves." "The screen did not display accurate locations and started spinning, dealer repaired" "new computer chip was needed to fix the problem" Ford replaced the main control unit for USB but that in turn caused the whole head unit to fail and need replacement. "USB connected devices would randomly disconnect. I'm not planning at this time, to buy/lease another Ford because of this malfunction." Vehicle was at a Ford dealer, I was told it was a known problem and the mechanic could fix it. The display returns a short time after it goes dark seemingly on it's own not because the driver did something. No display means no GPS, no back-up camera, no radio-SiriusXM. "This is a random problem that has occurred 4 times. (2018 Ford Escape Titanium 2.0-L 4 Cyl turbo) Dealer can't find the problem because it doesn't happen for them." Therefore, Nav, Bluetooth, radio, back-up none works. It is intermittent, happens frequently when the car is started, and continues until the car is turned off.
